Farmers Market is Coming To Monroe Street Market!
Monroe Street Market is going all natural!
If you haven’t heard already, we’re launching The “Historic Brookland Farmer’s Market” in May at the Arts Walk at Monroe Street Market! Lydia’s Field Farm will helping out by bringing regional farmers and food producers to Brookland. Lydia’s mission is to “grow fruit and vegetables in harmony with nature and share our knowledge of small-scale farming with anyone curious to learn more about healthful, locally grown produce”. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood and will be a great opportunity for people to have fresh produce right at their doorstep.
Our General Manager, David Raley, is very excited to bring a farmer’s market to Brookland has some great ideas about future events, like a pumpkin patch and a holiday market. The farmer’s market will open up starting Saturday, May 10th at 9:00-1:00pm. It will continue every Saturday at the same time until November 22nd. See you in May!
