What to Do This Weekend Near Monroe Street Market: Watch a Free Flick During 'Dinner & A Movie' on the Arts Walk

Heads up, Monroe Street Market residents: This Friday, Aug. 28, we'll host Dinner & A Movie, an al fresco (and totally free!) cinematic event on the Arts Walk! As soon as the sun disappears over the horizon (around 8 p.m.), all eyes will turn toward our outdoor movie screen for a showing of the 2001 remake of Planet of the Apes.

You'd be well advised to show up a little ahead of time, however: Early birds will get first dibs at seating (be sure to bring your own lawn chairs!), while all eventgoers will enjoy complimentary popcorn. What's more, the local restaurant Halsa will offer 15 percent off dinner checks, while Potbelly will dole out a free cookie or beverage with every entree purchase.

Can't make it to this Friday's movie? No worries. We'll host Dinner & A Movie again on September 25 and October 30, when we'll show Rio and Edward Scissorhands, respectively.
