Dew Drop Inn: Become One of the Regulars at this Casual Pub Near Monroe Street Market
The owners of DC’s Dew Drop Inn note that it’s not the only bar with that name. In fact, the bar’s website trumpets this fact, proclaiming that Dew Drop Inn “is a classic name for a classic bar,” which is the attitude that guides just about everything at this place. The bar is located in a refurbished Edgewood metal-working shop near Monroe Street Market, and the decor recalls the building’s humble, working-class history, with stools lining a long wooden bar, a handful of tables, and plenty of beer on draft and in bottles.
As for the food, the menu sticks to simple pub fare, like kettle chips and sandwiches (try the BLT served on toasted bread or the pulled topped with a spoonful of slaw). You won’t find anything particularly fancy here, but the Dew Drop Inn has a reputation for serving tasty food and drinks to a loyal crowd of laid-back regulars!
