Go For a Run for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge 10K
Runners will race across one of Maryland’s most notable landmarks in the Chesapeake Bay Bridge 10K on the morning of November 5th. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge — which was the world’s longest over-water steel structure at it’s opening in 1952 — is impressive and scenic, making it a memorable location for the more than 20,000 participants in the race. The 10K benefits several local charities, including The Yellow Ribbon Fun and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, resulting in an event that benefits the community as much as the cardiovascular health of the runners.
Although the race is not until Sunday morning, a pre-race expo will take place at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium all weekend. A post-race party will take place at the Chesapeake Bay Business Park immediately following the 10K, and it is open to all participants and their friends and family. Parking near the race will be limited, but several satellite parking lots and shuttles will be provided.
