Dance Place: “The Kind of Thing That Would Happen” Explores The Line Between Fact & Fiction
The Kind of Thing That Would Happen explores the tenuous line between fact and fiction. Through monologue and choreography, Agora Dance examines theatricality within the little white lies we tell ourselves, how uncovering the truth affects our perceptions and how memory evolves over time. Highly physical choreography, a variety of musical styles and text develop in parallel, concluding in an engaging, mixed media work.
Choreographed by Olivia Sabee and accompanied by diverse musical styles from J.S. Bach to Supertramp, the work weaves text into a landscape of influences, developed and edited by Delesslin “Roo” George-Warren.
