Holiday Tree Lighting
On December 2nd, Monroe Street Market will host its inaugural community Tree Lighting event, bringing a Winter Wonderland to Brookland with a flurry of activities sure to ripen your holiday spirit!
As sounds of the season fill the air, mingle through a variety of family-friendly activities, including a performance from Only Make Believe at 6:00. This FREE community event will include other festive performances from Catholic University’s acapella group “Take Note” and DC’s own “Word of Mouth” acapella group, free photos with Santa (pets are welcome, too!), face painting, crafts and delicious holiday flavors you don’t want to miss.
Event will take place from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on the Cornerstone Plaza, located in front of Busboys & Poets. The countdown to the tree lighting starts at 8:00.
